2D OEM Barcode Scanner Modules
Since 2014, hundreds of customers worldwide have successfully applied RTscan's barcode scan modules. They have been used for terminals such as medical devices, lockers, shopping trolleys, vending machines, ATMs, Kiosks, Express cabinets, Ticketing machines, etc.
Here is the list of our OEM barcode scanner modules:
- TTL-232 interface themselves, or RS232 or USB interface via the EVK board
- Reading bar codes both from paper and a phone screen
- Reading most types of 1D &2D barcodes like QR, DM, PDF417, Code 39, Code 128, etc.
- Some are for long-range reading, and some are for near-field reading.
Quick tips for choosing the appropriate barcode scanner module
- We recommend the RT218 or RT214D for general bar codes and applications. RT218 has a laser aimer, and RT214D has an LED aimer.
- RT218-SD is for short-distance / close-range bar code reading, RT218-ER is for extended-range/long-distance bar code reading, and RT218-HD is for high-performance required applications.
- If you need an engine for bar code reading from a PCB board or metal surface in which the code is printed by laser, then you can choose our iN1 scan engine.
- The iN1 is still a good choice if your bar codes are tiny (e.g., 3mm*3mm DataMatrix or QR code).
- RT214C is compatible with dimensions and screw positions with some traditional barcode scan engines; what's more, it has the option of a USB interface directly.
- To read higher-density barcodes or big-size PDF417 codes from an ID card or MRZ/OCR-B from an ID card and passport, RT212 is recommended.
